Ocular Ultrasound
(A-scan & B-scan)

Ultrasonic measurements are images of the eye.

Ocular Ultrasound (A-Scan) is typically used for measurements in calculations for IOL (Intraocular Lens Implants) used in cataract surgery.  Lehigh Valley Center for Sight uses the Zeiss IOLMaster which uses non-contact optical biometry for accuracy in IOL calculations.

B-Scan ocular ultrasound is used to visualize the back of the eye to aid with diagnosing and treating retinal hemorrhages, retinal detachments, ocular tumors, and other eye diseases. Both of our locations have a b-scan
