Ultrasonic measurements are images of the eye.

Ocular Ultrasound (A-Scan) is typically used for measurements in calculations for IOL (Intraocular Lens Implants) used in cataract surgery.  The Lehigh Valley Center for Sight also uses the Zeiss IOLMaster which uses non-contact optical biometry for accuracy in IOL calculations.

All of our offices have a contact B-Scan ocular ultrasound unit, which is used to visualize the back of the eye to help diagnosing and treating retinal hemorrhages, retinal detachments, ocular tumors, and other eye diseases.
